Privacy Policy
Med Reminder helps you and your family remember medications. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We keep it short and specific — we only collect what the app needs to work.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details — your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the name and profile photo associated with your Google account.
- Medication information — medicine names, dosages, notes, schedules, reminder times, dose history (taken / skipped / missed), and refill counts that you enter.
- Family member profiles — names, optional photos, and medication details you add for people you care for. Please only add information about others with their permission.
- Records — prescription photos and doctor / pharmacy contact details you choose to save.
Information collected automatically
- Advertising data — the app shows banner ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, and coarse device information to serve and measure ads. Where required (for example the EEA and UK), you will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.
- Purchase state — if you buy the ad-free upgrade, Google Play processes the payment. We only receive confirmation of the purchase; we never see your payment details.
- Basic diagnostics — standard technical information (such as device model and OS version) used to keep the app working correctly.
How we use your information
- To schedule and ring your medication reminders on your device.
- To back up your data and sync it across your signed-in devices.
- To generate the adherence reports you can export or share.
- To show ads (unless you purchase the ad-free upgrade).
- To provide support when you contact us.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on your device and backed up to Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Storage), using Google's infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Access to your cloud data requires your signed-in account.
Services we share data with
We use the following service providers to run the app. We share only what each service needs to perform its function, and nothing more:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, and file storage (Firebase privacy).
- Google AdMob — advertising (how Google uses ad data).
- Google Play Billing — in-app purchases.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share your health-related entries with advertisers.
Data retention and deletion
- Your data is kept for as long as your account exists.
- Delete in app: Settings → Delete account permanently removes your account and your cloud-stored data (profiles, medications, history, records, and photos).
- You can also email us at spintechstudio@gmail.com to request deletion, and we will action it within 30 days.
- Uninstalling the app removes locally stored data from your device.
Your choices
- Use the app's ad-free purchase to remove advertising.
- Withdraw or change ad-personalisation consent where the consent prompt applies to you.
- Reset your advertising ID in your device's Google settings at any time.
- Edit or delete any medication, profile, or record inside the app at any time.
Children
Med Reminder is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian may manage a child's medication schedule from their own account as a family-member profile.
Important note
Med Reminder is a reminder and record-keeping tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always follow the guidance of your doctor or pharmacist.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
